my friend is kind of on the short side. he is looking at a 00 m2. can he put a m2l (low) seat on the bike to make it better for him to touch the ground? if so how much will it lower the seat height? where would be a good place to find a seat? if he can not do that what are some other things he can do to get the seat height down some? |

Yes a low seat will help. I have one that might be up for sale soon. Will be about .5" lower or so. Lower the rear end can be a bit difficult, but possible. |

I have a question maybe you could help me with. I bought an 01 M2,but realize I like the same year S1's tail section more, are they the same bike other than that, and will the S1 tail section fit directly on to my M2? |

The S1 tailsection will not fit a stock M2 frame. The earlier model M2 slim bodywork and tank will fit a later model, though... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/323163.html?1197917351 If you follow the link to Mick's post, he shows how he put an S1 tail on an M2 with really good results. I don't think I'll be using the slim tailsection (M2 or otherwise) and tank because the seat isn't nearly as comfortable as the wide stock one. That's getting more important to me as I get older... and more irritable. |
