I was wondering if someone could help me identify this crank case. I specifically needed to know that it is a 5 speed as I wish to put it in my X1 frame. There is no serial # on the the upper left side of the case below the cylinder deck. It has the part #'s 24534-89 and 24558-92A and E54 cast into it. It looks similar to my 99 Buell Cyclone motor but has only 3 5/16 screws at the bottom instead of 4. KK

Looks like 5 speed to me.Early 5 speed. 4 speed uses cam bearings. 5 speed uses bushings. There should be confidential numbers stamped somewhere on the inside that may tell the date of mfg. The left hand case below the right hand stator mounting screw. It should be there. |
