I read a post where it says that a simple clena of seedometer sensor could fix it. I have too lok it up in the manual, but if anyone knows could you save me some time and tlle me wher it is and what do i have to remove to get it and should batterry be disconnected while doing this, thanks

No need to disconnect the battery, but the sensor is probably blown. The updated part solves the root problem.

Try cleaning anyway though, you might get lucky.

The 03 XB models has a bit of a problem with voltage variations nuking the sensor.

The updated part solves the issue for you.

Sometimes the pickup does collect small fragments of ferrous metal which cause it to not work. In that case
cleaning it will help. The pickup is located on top of the transmission case just inboard of the output sprocket/pulley.
