is there a difference between a 1998 S1W White Lightning and 1998 S1 White Lightning or is it all the same bike with two ways of saying it? Thanks guys. |

Cylinder heads are different,,other then that,I don't see anything else different in the parts book.And if i remember they claimed 101 hp on the S1W |

well my bike is called "S1 White Lightning" and it has the black thunderstorm heads. |

There is no S1W. The was an S1. There was an S1WL. The S1WL "White Lightning" was 101bhp at the crank. It came in 16 combinations, 4 frame colors, 4 body colors. There was also a Lightning Strike but it was not sold in the United States. |

So if the bike is the pearl white and says "White Lightning" on the tail and front fairing is it the 101bhp one? |

Since you can always put stickers and heads on a bike, check the VIN #: "YS" for the S1WL and "SS" for regular S1s |
