Hello all, im about to do my first service on my bike (2003 XB9S 12,000 miles, bought her a month ago and love it!) previous owner used semi-synthetic Castrol oil in eng. and formula+ in trans. and fram filter Im switching to Mobil 1 v-twin, wix filter, and i need to know whats good for the trans? ive read way too many different sides of the fence on here, which has left me a little confused. I want a full synthetic for the trans, and im not into amsoil or redline. any ideas? thanks again! |

Stay with Formula+. I have tried them all, and nothing beats Formula+. No possible corrosion issues, good clutch action, and 10,000 miles between changes, although I still go 5000. Good luck. Jim |

truth is you cant go wrong with the factory fluids but many to most people can not fight the urge to use other fluids (like me). |
