I have a Karata Belt drive in my Iron Head Sportster. Why is no one interested in this componenent for the Buell? It's still an XL at heart. It seems like it would be a great improvement instead of all the power it must consume to spin that heavy chain. I have seen a Dry Clutch and belt drive conversion for Sportsters but it sticks way out. I want to keep the primary closed. |

Eric I like you would like the belt primary. But the additional width is the problem for me. When they design one that solves that problem, I'll try one. |

The one on my Iron head runs inside the stock primary. Buell Primary and Sportster are both XL. Considering the driveline weight savings I don't understand why this isn't a big hit! |

Well, the stock HP differential is quite a bit. What's your BHP rating? Also the breakage rate for the secondary drive belt on Buells may be putting people off some. Would like to hear from anyone who has experience with the Karata though. Anyone? I'd be interested in a belt conversion. |

I checked with Karata. They don't do any for Buells. Go figure. |
