While riding the other day I looked down and noticed that my top triple clamp appears to be pointing slightly to the left even when I'm going perfectly straight. A few weeks a go I tightened up my neck bearing as per the manual with the exception of jacking up the front of the bike due to an aftermarket pipe that came with the bike. Would loosening the triple clamp bolts in order to tighten the steering stem while not un-weighting the front end cause the front end to come out of alignment? Help! |

It sounds as though the upper and lower triple tree clamps are out of alignment. Loosen the fork pinch bolts, straddle the front wheel, and twist the handlebars until it is straight. Tighten pinch bolts and all should be well. It's easy to get out and easier to get back in. |
