This is my first Buell, but do these things run rough at the stop light? The front cowel vibrates all over the place from the engine vibration. I have installed new plugs, adjusted the idol, and replaced the air filter. Any ideas? |

Nothing is wrong, it's the nature of the beast.
The purpose of the rubber mounting system, is to keep the vibes under control while riding. The slow large shakes are too much for any system, so Buell doesn't even try. Rev to 2500+ and its just happy tingles.
My M2 will actually dance backwards on it's kickstand at idle on level pavement. At lights, expect your lips to vibrate one way & your ears another.
I can tell you never rode a pre rubber mount Sportster. Tales of great endurance are legendary, for a reason. "He rode from Daytona to LA on a SPORTSTER!!!!" in tones of awe, kind of thing. The hard mounted Sportster engine buzzes madder & madder as the revs increase. I think the mirrors are only there for legal reasons, as I have never seen other than blur in them.

You are right. My first Sporty was a 1200C 2004. The first year of the rubber mounts. Thanks for the info!! |
