I'm getting a squeaking sound coming from the front of the bike while rolling. Front break pads seem to have plenty on them so I don't think that's the problem. I'm leaning toward the front bearing. What's it take to grease the bearings on this bike? |

Not trying to chase you around the board this morning, but its raining outside. These are sealed bearings and need to be replaced. That said, there are a couple of guys on the board that carefully pick/pry the rubber seal out of the bearing and add/replace the grease as regular maintanence at every tire change. Maybe they'll stop by and add their $.02. If you have squeaking, there is probably damage already done to the bearing. No harm to carefully pick out the seal and have a peek inside. If you dont see any obvious signs of damage, throw in some new grease and give it a go. If you mess up the seal, hey, you need a new bearing anyway. If you don't mess up the seal, you know how to remove it for servicing the new bearings down the road. |

Thanks for the reply. I did find the squeak and thankfully its as simple as replacing a few rubber mounting pieces. |
