I'm getting a squeaking sound coming from the front of the bike while rolling. Front break pads seem to have plenty on them so I don't think that's the problem. I'm leaning toward the front bearing. What's it take to grease the bearings on this bike?

Not trying to chase you around the board this morning, but its raining outside.

These are sealed bearings and need to be replaced.

That said, there are a couple of guys on the board that carefully pick/pry the rubber seal out of the bearing and add/replace the grease as regular maintanence at every tire change. Maybe they'll stop by and add their $.02.

If you have squeaking, there is probably damage already done to the bearing. No harm to carefully pick out the seal and have a peek inside.

If you dont see any obvious signs of damage, throw in some new grease and give it a go.

If you mess up the seal, hey, you need a new bearing anyway. If you don't mess up the seal, you know how to remove it for servicing the new bearings down the road.

Thanks for the reply. I did find the squeak and thankfully its as simple as replacing a few rubber mounting pieces.
