Hey all ... I've read a few Tale Section stories (well, okay one by Idave in September 2006) about a "ram" (?) mount for a camera on your handlebars. Anyone know of any companies offering these? I would love to get ahold of one of these. |

Hey Jyd, Try here: http://www.ram-mount.com/ http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/RAM/ RAM mounts work great... many flavors of gadget mount options. We use 'em for our Beemer road trip gizmos: GPS, satellite radio, iPods. CycleGadgets has been a good source for RAM mount parts and other must-have stuff. |

The RAM Mounts are sold as kits for mounting specific devices in specific places. But the bits and pieces used are very modular and those are also sold separately. You buy the specific pieces that best suit your needs. This is the catalog that has everything you want, you just have to figure out your needs: http://www.ram-mount.com/pdf/motorcycle.pdf You can look through the mounts for various devices and see how they work, there will also be a list of the component parts. The last part of the catalog shows all the different parts. Once you get the base on the bike, you can change the arms and upper bases to hold a variety of different devices. I'm set up so I can mount either of two GPS receivers on U-bolt type bar mount. I bought most of my stuff from www.gpscity.com Jack |
