I'm interested in buying the original (NOT carbon fiber) right and left panels for the XBRR as it came from the factory. If anyone is interested in selling the complete original body kit, I might also be interested. Please let me know |

It is carbon fiber. And alot of the RR's were sold unpainted. |

The first 38 or so XBRRs had gel-coated carbon-fiber panels from the original bodywork supplier. The last XBRRs had bodywork from a second supplier, which was made with pre-preg carbon fiber. It was black with the weave showing. It was also lighter, stronger and more heat resistant, but parts from the two sets aren't a perfect interchange, though you could likely make a complete set of lower bodywork of either type fit with the nose of a set of the other kind with some effort. The gel-coated parts are no longer available, while the black parts are in stock. |

Thanks, Bads1 and Anonymous, for your insight. I'm looking for the original gel-coated panels and not particularly interested in replacing the entire set. Hopefully, an XBRR owner or team replaced the entire set and has the original panels left over (The reason I need them is the poor factory fit between the panels and the exhaust (right side) and the shifter (left side) caused heat and wear-through damage, respectively to the right and left panels.) |
