So After I was riding 4 over an hour, I picked up my girlfriend. When she got on & we got rolling I herd some really weird grinding noise coming from the engine. After I herd it a couple times it went away. I'm checking oil levels, but this sound has got me shook. It runs fine now but I’m still a lil worried. any help out there??? |

I think your girlfriend's extra weight (slight though it undoubtedly is!) may have you grinding something on your rear suspension--maybe the belt's hitting something? posting anonymously in case anybody thinks I'm saying the gf's fat! |

I know the sound . . . I suspect, with all due respect to your girlfriend who I am sure is hotter than a pistol, the the belt contacting the guard. The Buell has a "self fixing" feature. . . take her for several more rides and the belt will adjust the guard to a perfect fit. So . . . as your Buell advisor . . . I advise you to ride with your girlfriend every chance you get. There. . . next problem. |
