AST is a company that designs and builds top quality shockabsorbers for race & rally cars, which is their main buisness. Ronnie (aragosta) is one of the team at AST, and when he bought his city x he decided to design a shockabsorber for his own bike. This was so successful that we also used one on their shocks on our 2006 Buell XB12 road race bike, which was the best handling bike in the UK Thunderbike series, and still holds 10th place in the Performance Bikes magazine TT time trial, against much more powerful machines (and ahead of the Ducati 999, Triumph 675 and a host of other 'performance' bikes). The XB shocks are fully adjustable with high/low speed compression damping, rebound damping, prelaod and ride height as standard. They are also available with remote hydraulic preload adjustment if required. Each shock is manufactured to suit the individual rider weight and riding style.  Soon Ronnie was making shocks for the tube buells as well, just because he loves BUELL motorcycles! Already more than 50 tubershocks have been sold, most of them in the UK by Adrenalin-Moto, and AST are rapidly gaining an excellent reputation for build quality and performance.  The tube frame shocks are built to the same high standard as the XB items and feature adjustable high/low speed compression, rebound, preload and ride height as standard. so you can say that the AST Buell suspension is made by a BUELL enthusiast! Ronnie is now working on (and testing on his own City X) an air suspension shock. Great, I need one for my tuber. Is there one with adjustable-preload and a remote reservoir that will mount in the stock locations? Anyone know what spring rate it comes with? $906 for the tuber one plus shipping per the site linked. | ||
