Hi, Im trying to get the belt tensioner off so I can get to the exhaust straps on my XB9SX- for changing the muffler over for an Remus muffler - its rock solid - any tips ? |

Copious amounts of penetrating oil, gentle tapping on the part you're trying to remove. I assume you got the rear axle nut loosened 15 turns and the tensioner nuts removed and the tensioner mount does not move, correct so far? |

Maybe I am just used to working on aircraft but I just installed a Micron exhaust on a XB9SX last weekend and did not remove the tensioner. I just used a deep socket on a swivel on an extension to remove the two rear straps. |

Tighten rear axle back up and loosen bolt on ten/wheel then loosen rear axle nut.same for install to proper torque.Had to do that on my D&D too. Good luck. Gearloose |
