Has anyone seen this bags in the flesh? http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/Produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=2&CategoryID=4&Produ ctID=4063 I'm trying to find out how they mount. Do they require permanent mounting brackets and if so, how hard are the brackets to install? How do the brackets look with the bags on mounted? My dealer has no clue and charge me a 20% restocking fee if I order the bags and and unhappy with them. Go figure. |

Looks just like the soft luggage for my 9sx. It mounts with a strap that goes under the seat and over the battery, you have to pull the seat. Another one goes under the seat towards the back, but you don't have to pull the seat to get that one on and off. Then it has a few more straps that go around the passenger brackets, and tail section reflectors if you have them. I lost the reflectors long ago, so just use the passenger peg straps. They work fine. They look small, but hold more then you would think (6 pack of bottles will fit in each one in the pack and upright). They flop around a little, and hang "down" a little, and after a year or so of exposure fade and some of the rubber peels, but they are still totally functional. I can get mine on or off in under 5 minutes easy. No brackets required. |

Thanks Reepicheep! I actually prefer not having to add mounting brackets so I'll probably end up giving these a try. |

I got a set used (fairly worn but half price) and am very happy with them. I figured I would just put them on for trips or big errands, but they have proven so handy and unobtrusive that I can't bring myself to take them off. It seems to make the bike a little warmer in the winter as well, they may be helping to make a nice "bubble" for me to ride in. |

You had me at "It mounts with a strap..." I'll order a set this weekend. |

I have a set on my '06 Ss and although I wish they were a little larger, I like them and keep them on. They do hold more than i thought they would. |

Pleased with mine too. They hold 11 litres each - verified by filling one with water. No good with a pillion and the left bag must be released and lifted to insert the key into the seat lock.
