I have a 2000 M2, Mikuni HSR42, K&N Intake, Pro series Ignition, Bubs Pipes, with a new set of Andrews N8s and I just rebuilt the front cylinder due to a rather inconvenient screw ingestion fiasco. My question is this - would this set-up benefit from a Pingel high flow fuel valve, or will the stock petcock flow enough fuel @WFO??

Also, I have read many posts about also needing to remove the check valve in the fuel tank vent to allow maximum fuel flow. I cannot see a way to take apart the check valve assembly to remove the check valve. Is the correct way to accomplish this to completely remove the black check valve assembly and replace it with a brass fitting or something like that, or hacksaw off the throat of the check valve assembly and use that, or what???

Any help / info would be greatly appreciated. I want to be @ max possible output for the dyno after I break in my front cylinder.

Thanks !!

I don't like N8's. Why not N6's?

My problem with the stock fuel valve is that it'll leak or break in time. I doubt it'll gain you any power but it is nice to have.

As for gutting the vent, you have to cut the housing open to get the check ball out. I wouldn't do it unless it clogs/gets stuck. It'll spew fuel out the vent everytime you brake hard if you have over a 3/4 tank of gas.
