Happy new year to whoever is reading this.
Quick question,In the UK on Ebay etc there are a lot of adverts for S1 workshop manuals(On CD normally) but none for the X1.Does one exist or does anybody know where to get one(papercopy as well would do).Or aside from the induction mods etc are the differences minimal and therefore get the S1 manual
Thanks

The 1996 S-1 Shop Manual was produced and distributed by Buell.

It was the only year and model ever done on CD. The X-1 was never done.

There are a number of pirated copies made by folks. I discourage the sale of these simply because they detract from the sale of the genuine manual which folks put a lot of time and money into.

All Buell Service manuals are readily available through any Buell dealer.

If you need a manual number for a particular year, just let me know . . . I'll be pleased to help.

Ralf,

We have a copy of the online S1 Manual in the Knowledge Vault. But the changes from 1996/97 to your X1 were significant in some areas, so I'd recommend obtaining the manual for your X1.

See the link on the following page for the online version of the S1 Manual published by Buell:

I'm fairly sure this will be a stupid question, but.......
My XB12X was built in aug, 06, but sold as an '07 model. It came standard with progressive springs and the up-dated plastic guide for the wiring harness around the steering head..
Do I need the '06, or '07 service manual? I have to order one from the US, so would appreciate any help

Yool, you need a '07 manual. It is the same manufacturing date as mine and my Uly is definably an '07 model for manual purposes
