There is no paint code for the plastic. They are molded in color. If you are looking to match to paint take the bike or one of the plastic pieces to various car dealerships and look for a car that matches and write down the paint code from the sticker. That's the low tech method. High tech involves an automotive paint shop that can do color matching and mix up a custom color that matches your sample. It will be more exact than the low tech method, but more expensive. Last ditch is to go look at a paint shops "chip books" that have little squares of paint on page after page in 3 ring binders. This is last ditch because the chips are small and can be very deceptive as to what the actual color is. However if it is your only option........ I hope this helps. Matching motorcycle colors is almost always problematic. We have an Uncle that worked for a paint shop when we were racing an SV650. Even using the high tech method he had to tweak the mixture a bit to get it just right to match the stock suzuki silver paint. A good tech will be able to help a lot. When I talk about a paint shop I'm talking about a shop that sells automotive paint, not many shops that paint vehicles will have the high tech color matching equipment on-site. If you have a favored painter ask them what brand paint they use and try to work with that brand of paint. |
