The M2 service man has the spec in it, but it is stupid, like 3 foot pounds if I remember right. If they had said 36 in/lbs that may have been credible. But 3 foot pounds? No way can it be measured! And after reading all the stories here of the guys that twisted the shank off (it is aluminum) in the primary case or stripped the threads out of the primary case, the consenus was that it should be tightened enough to deform the O-ring on the shank a little and no more. Generally, don't consider using much more than your bare hands. The natural curve in the cable sheath when mounted will keep the cable from ever unscrewing itself. Jack |
