Does anyone know if this will mate up? I want to install the older m2 tank, but not if I have to use the old m2 seat. thanks in advance

The seat will mount up okay to the smaller tank. You may end up with a bit of a gap between it and the tank, but not too much of one. Do you already have the 4 gallon tank?

nope, didn't want to make any purchases without some info.
-the gap that you speak of, that would be the front sides of the seat? , not the distance from the middle front tip of the seat to the edge of the tank.
I am hoping that this along with some renthal handlebars will make for a good mod.

Gap is all around between seat and tank, all three sides.

The larger tank flares out (widens and deepens) more quickly.

It would not seem to be too difficult to have the seat custom fitted/reworked to fit the smaller tank.
