i have a 2006 xb12x. mods are buell race ecm, k&n air filter, drummer exhaust. when i roll off the trottle it pops like crazy. brought it to the dealership. seems like they dont want to touch it cause its not all buell parts. they checked timing, reset tps, and plugs... to no avail. said that by the look of it it was running a little lean if anything. i am also experiencing a power loss mostly in the low end... to 4k rpms, but also in the higher end. i have recently noticed it "chugging" a little while riding along at 3-4k. the dealer seems to be stumped. i am getting frustrated as i love the bike, but hate riding it like this. i think it is actually worse than when i got it. please help. |

* Check for exhaust leak where the muffler mates to the header. * Race ECM not well developed. As the days were getting warmer, the bikes performance worsened, excessive pinging, I then removed the Race ECM and put the stock one back in. Left the muffler and K/N on. Better performance * If you have pinging, start retarding the timing. Keith |
