Problems, problems. Need some advice from you folks. I got my Corsa 3 rear in today. My front won't be here for a while yet. Weeks probably. My stock rear is showing a line halfway around the center. My choices are running the C3 rear with a stock dunlop 208 front with 3K miles on it, parking the bike until the front gets here, or putting a 160 takeoff rear on it until I get my new front. The question is- A: will a 160 rear work on the stock rims? How badly will the deformation jack my handling? B: How badly in comparison to A will mixing the tires jack up my handling? C: Anyone in Texas have a take-off Dunlop rear they'd sell me cheap? Merlyn |

The 160 will not work on your bike. Mixing tire profiles can lead to instability and unpredictable handling. The XB is very tire sensitive so I can only assume the effects would be amplified compared to what I felt when I made the mistake of mixing tires on my old interceptor. That was a very scary ride. I would either find another comparable dunlop take-off or park the bike until the new front tire shows. Tires are critical on bikes. |

Are you talking corner shredding riding, or just cruising? If you want to ride I wouldn't leave it parked just because the tires don't match. No need to test any limits, but it'll still go down the road decent with mismatched tires - just don't be crazy on it - MHO. |

I actually lucked out- My Corsa 3 front came in yesterday, so I am going to be swapping both tires tomorrow, probably. Just in time too- I am still on the 208 rear, and it's getting VERY close to showing cords, instead of just a line. Tire probably didn't have another 200 miles in it. Merlyn |

Merlyn, I have both of my Corsa III in, haven't mounted yet, trying to get the last miles out of the oem tires, now that you have had on for a week or so, what are your thoughts on the new tire? R |
