Hi There I hope someone can help. I have a xi and had to replace the inlet valve. When installing I found that even waiting for the bleed down of the lifters i still have no cly pressure. If I back off the 4 retaining bolts I have pressure. I have the push rod marked 3 on the front cly. Any ideas? |

From page 3-20 in the online service manual for the '96-'97 S1... Table 3-4. Push Rod Selection TablePOSITION | COLOR CODE | PART NUMBER | LENGTH | Exhaust (Front & Rear) | 3 Band - Pink | 17904-89 | 10.800 in. (274.32 mm). | Intake (Front & Rear) | 1 Band - Brown | 17897-89 | 10.746 in. (272.95 mm) | Hopefully, someone with access to a service manual for a 101 HP Thunderstorm engine can confirm. Do you have a service manual for your X1? |

Blake, You are correct. The way I remember it is the pink is sort of like red. Exhaust is "red hot". Brad |
