I have been told that by rerouting your breather hoses out of the airbox you can gain up to 4 hp, is this true? If so that would be an easy way to pick up some power |

actually according to tests Al of American Sport Bike conducted on the dyno it's a pretty reliable 2hp. If you do re-route them out be sure to use a K&N style filter on the end, after a catch can, or drain tube. There have been examples of home built systems posted on badweb, also, American Sport Bike and kdfab.com sell complete catch can kits. After you see the nasty stuff that comes out of them you'll be very happy you got those hoses out of there. Either way you go it's a good idea, and good for your motor. |

What happens if I put only those K&N filters, and not a catch can...? |

Okay, I found a lot of discussion by searching with "catch can". I'm installing the FAST intake kit, and I decided to re-route breather hoses to somewhere near the battery, with K&N filters. Is it going to blow....? |
