I just recently started work on a firebolt that I picked up used and a little worse for wear. The previous owner had polished the frame spars to a mirror like shine. This is not really to my liking, and I'd like to get rid of it if possible. I'd originally thought of powder coating the frame and swingarm black and going with the amber rims, but after visiting the shop the other day I saw a lightning with gloss black rims/bodywork with the unpolished frame and swingarm. It looked pretty good. If it's possible for me to get the frame back to an unpolished state, this would save me a little money. Anyone know how to get it there? Is it just sanding and sanding with rough grit paper? Thanks Blake M |

The frames on the XB9 come painted silver from the factory. I know they sell the paint for touch up. |

Thanks Tim I didn't realize that. I'll get the paint code and see what I can do. Blake M |
