Hi everyone I've recently picked up a 2003 Firebolt that's in some need of repair. I'm in the process of pulling the engine, but can't seem to get the bolt in the swingarm pivot to come all the way out. It will slide about six inches out and then it seems the end is too large to pull all the way out. I've looked in the service manual and I didn't see anything mentioned other than 'remove the pivot bolt'....lol Could someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks very much, Blake M |

I guess people don't read this area too much. As it turns out, I had to cut the bolt and tap it out from the other side. |

Blake, sometimes it takes a while for people to tune in, switch on and help out. Weekends, especially in the summer months, are always going to be 'slower' when you're sat in front of your pc waiting for someone to answer a tech question you posted. We're all out riding! Another way to grab quick attention is to post on the General Discussion Board something like 'Help Urgently Needed' - XB motor removal problem. See Engine thread. You can also link to the post you started elsewhere from the GDB like this, Formatting your post, by writing \newurl {address here, your description here} but with no space between the \newurl and curly bracket. Don't forget the comma {,} inside the curly brackets Don't despair in future. Rocket |
