I had my rings replaced last weekend on my xb12. The did a compression check right after and it says 155/150...
My question is is that good?

why did you replace the rings? what was the compression
before?
but with out knowing what compression was before I would say 150 is good.
over 100 psi and no more than 20% difference between the two clys.
did you get the valves reground as well?
how many miles did the engine have?

That is okay, but if that was before the rings had a chance to wear-in, the compression should increase. Did they also hone the cylinder bores?

I had a seaping base gasket repaired under warranty. They reringed the motor and did a comp check on it after the work was done. I was just wondering if this was ok. No they didnt re-hone the motor. I called several "known" service department and the all sid it didnt need to be re/honed. They did "recondition" the heads and cylinders.???/ Im still trying to figure that one out. So far so good though.

There will be some variation for the same bike based upon locale. Current Barometric pressure including the effects of elevation will result in variations. So comparing a warm weather San Diego compression test to stormy Denver test may not be viable.

According to my buell book at least 120 and no more than 10 b/w the two..... if you cross either line, then you have probs... so right now you sound to be good to go.
