I managed to get a brand spanking new recall shock kit for an M2 off of e-bay for about 1/2 what new costs it looks the same as my original one '01 - x1 showa is there any difference in the unit? I will adjust the ride height and preload this week ( I hope ) and be done with it any info about variants of the kits would I would be grateful. |

as long as you have the new mounts with it, there will be no problems and it will bolt right up. |

Is the rear mount on the shock a small or large diameter? |

OldDog, IIRC the lengths of the shocks were the major difference. Hence why you needed a new front mount to make the 14.5 in Showa fit the pre 2001 bikes Again, with the new mount it should bolt right up |
