Can I just readjust my damping to lower my M2 was looking in the shop manual it gives the number of turns for the M2 and the M2L. Looks like i can lower approx 1/2 inch or so. Anybody know for sure?? |

You can't lower the bike by adjusting the compression damping. |

You might be able to get a bit lower by adjusting the preload. You can also get 1 inch lower by substituting the seat from an M2L. If you need to get lower than that the easiest was is to trade your bike for an M2L. |

I would have loved to be of service, however with our Wilbers shocks it is not possible to lower the M2. With other models it is easy, but the shocks special construction makes ride height lowering via shocks impossible. I don't know if any other supplier yet managed to construct a system to lower the M2... Sorry, Maxbuell |

The M2 & M2L differ in fork internals, shock, & sidestand. You can get a lowering kit ( see a sponsor, American Sport Bike ) but will then want to raise the forks in the clamps a bit to keep the geometry close to stock. How much do you need to lower? |

Thanks for the replies. Would like to get an inch or so but looks like it's not possible. I can flat foot it now have 32" inseam. Think it's the Harley rider in me that wants it lower. I have extra seat think I will take it some where and have it scraped down. |

Inch or so is possible, but seat will be cheapest way. I suggest you have the shop put a gel insert in to pad it better, to compensate for foam removed. I find the M2L seat uncomfortable on long trips, I think a gel insert would really improve it. ( I also have & use the "Buell Custom Color Matched" seat, it's far better for passengers too. It's taller & wider than the low seat ) |
