Hi, My 2000 X-1 has about 12,000 miles, slip on, race ecm and K/N filter. On big ride just started losing power on top end when rolling gas on from about 80 MPH...would get up to 110 or so, but weak acceleration. Reving ok, not over heating, or knocking..just weak, not surging forward. When accelerating from lower gears seems ok, but not when rolling on from high speed. Wacking throttle open from low gears it falls flat on power after about 4,000 rpm. Any ideas? Bad sensor? TPS setting out? Or? Thanks! |

Buell78758, My experience with running out of power at the upper end has been as simple as a clogged gas filter. Flows okay at low rpms but can't flow fast enough at high rpms. Hope it is as simple as that. SteveH |

Check for pinched gas tank breather hose or a bad gas tank vent valve ??? |
