Hey all I just bought a 2002 White lightning, 8000 mi, race ECM, Vance and Hines exhaust and K&N filter. my first ride was awesome the bike performed way above my expectations, after a bout 15 or 20 min of riding I parked at a store for a couple of minutes. When I returned the fuel light came on along with the engine light and she began to cough and sputter. Managed to limp it home and ran a diagnostic on it and got codes: 13, 14, and 15. I was looking for the easy way out, so I replaced the o2 sensor, and checked the wiring and connections on the IAT sensor, reconnected the battery and went for a ride. It sounded rough at first but the more I rode the better it got, until I got back home. Just like before when I went to restart all I got was coughing and sputtering. It will run but not idle without a lot of throttling. Again I get the same 3 codes and not sure where to turn next. I know my way around a tool box and I'm familiar with the inner workings of a fuel injection system. I hate to think of the repair bills nickel and diming me to death. Somebody please help a newby Bueler.  | ||

Code 13 O2 sensor Code 14 Engine Temperature Sensor Code 15 Intake air temperature Sensor. Ironically, an owner of this SAME model X1 that I know had symptoms similar to yours recently, ie, it would get hot and not want to start. Apparently it was an issue with the relays under the seat, check these out, and all the wires/connecting pins in that part of the wiring harness. Good Luck. | ||

could take it anymore, dropped it off at HD, the Mech said it was caused by a eng temp sensor, $30 part and $60 labor. unfortunately they dont have the part on hand and I'll have to wait a week to get it back, damn | ||

more bad news the temp sensor is on back order, must wait 2 more weeks. Where can I buy these parts online? |
