Hello everyone! New to this section, but not to the badweb. I posted this on the local club board, but no answer. It may sound like a stupid question, but here goes. My '05 xb9r and I were in an accident at the end of last season. I was showing off and ended up riding a wheelie up to about the 2 o'clock position before I fell. My bike went down on the right side and slid a bit, maybe 20 ft. Anyway, when I am pushing the bike around my garage and driveway to move it, the belt walks off of the idler pulley when I push the bike backward. Is this normal? Are these bikes not meant to be pushed around in reverse? Like I said, sounds dumb, but I gotta know before I take it for a spin. Plus, it's starting to chew up the belt when it walks off. Any help I could get on this one would be appreciated. If you need more info from me, just say so. Or if I'm being a moron, also, just say so. Thanks!

Sounds like something, most likely the swingarm, has been knocked out of alignment. Suggest you take it to a competent Buell dealership and have them check it for you. Other possibilities are a damaged belt, or pulley.
