I am not a small guy. I have powerlifted for years and my weight is 272lbs. My girlfriend holds the state records herself and weights 180lbs which put combined 452lbs. If my Buell M2 weight capacity is 385lbs does that mean I will do damage to the bike if we ride together? What do you think? Besides losing weight as the skinny me is 250lbs. |

You are over the max for the suspension and will bottom out the swingarm over bumps and dips and hills in the road. Not good. Consider getting her her own bike, or a different bike for two-up riding. I've got the same problem, but I'm not a powerlifter (I just need more exercise), which is one of the reasons I've been looking to sell one of my bikes and get something more fitting for two-up riding (at least until I loose 40-60Lbs). Remember to factor in the weight of your riding gear and helmets and boots in addition to your scale weight, you're probably closer to a combined 475-500Lbs including the change and keys in your pockets. |
