Does anyone know where I can get a set of the peg lowering mounts for and older S-2? I am looking for the stock pieces that lower the pegs about 1" or if flipped over, raise the pegs 1". I checked the local Buell dealers and they said the pert is no longer made/carried. I also looked through the Banke site as I was informed that they might have actually made the parts for Buell. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!!

Karl

They LOWER, they will NOT RAISE. . . UNLESS you modify them.

The "touring pegs" had an "D" shape to the shaft that makes them "side specicif". With a bit of machining you could modify them.

They may be tough to find but ask you dealer, or any of the sponsoring dealers here, to run that P/N. They can poll the system and see if there are any left in inventory.

How many folks want/need touring pegs? Warrant a run of them?

That's true. But, I didn't want some poor soul trying to (quite literally) fit a square (actually "D" shaped) peg in a round (actually "D" shaped the "other way) and trying to force it.

The side plate he'd bugger up would not be a cheap fix.

Let me know if you need detailed photos folks.

I'd take a spare set. They used to be quite pricey though.

As for peg raising; I used the touring peg mounts on my S3 for track duty. Flip left for right and rotate them upside down - shade tree peg risers : )

When they first were available I paid $40. for the kit... The kit came with a different shifter bracket (curved piece that the shifter foot peg attaches to)and rod as well as the 2 peg supports...

I just need the mounts, not the whole kit. I did some research with the PN from Lafeyette. That number is discontinued, but the new number is N0410.8 which is for the left "touring peg mount". not sure what the right side # is. Also price is around $65 each!!!!

Court, I knew about the D that needed to be modified. Had expected to do that anyways. these will actually go on my X-1 so I needed to machine/fit them to be right. Since Ft Washington HD says they are still available, any way to get a better pricing on them for that kit again?
