Anybody out there with a special edition X1? I was wanting to know what the width and spacing was on the stripes so I could put similar ones on my X1. Thanks, Mike |

Does anyone know of a painted rear hugger that will fit a 99 S3T? I would like to remove the stock hugger. I think a painted rear hugger would clean up the rear of the bike. |

Anyone ever hear anything good or bad about Airtech bodywork? I need a new solo tailsection for my '96 S1, and was looking at their Daytona or Superbike style tailsections. They're selling them for about the same as the factory piece, but wanted to know about quality, fit, ect... Thanks. |

You'll have to paint it and drill all necassary holes to make it fit plus brackets if needed.Or call Crossroads Performance they have a shop bike that they set up with Airtech that they may give you some pointers. Dana. |

I'm converting a '97 M2 to a circuit track bike and have a question about fitting race style bodywork to a 97 M2: I was talking to Airtech recently, and they figured the S1 '96 to '98 Superbike and GP bodywork (the front part, not the tail section) wouldn't fit the M2, since the rake and trail on the M2 and the height of the M2 is different from the S1. But it seems to me they may be the same in '97: the factory information (brochures) says in '97 the M2 and S1 both had 25 degree rake and 3.9 inch trail, and of course the same wheelbase. I have BattleTwin articles that list the seat height and ground clearance of the '97 S1 and M2 as the same as well, and that state the M2 and S1 frames (pre-'98) are very similar, except for the footpeg mounting stuff. Does anyone know if the Airtech Superbike or GP bodywork (the front part) would fit the '97 M2? (I know the tail section won't but that's a different problem that I'll save for another day). Does anyone know anyone who has fitted race style bodywork to an M2? Any ideas on how to get the M2 fitted out with bodywork? |

Does anyone know where I can get a Carbon Fiber tail section for my 1997 S1? I saw one on E-bay about a month ago but didn't bid on it (stupid me). I really dig the look and it will compliment the rest of the CF pieces. Thanks, Joel |

Joel, http://www.americansportbike.com give them a call. Jst, A twin tail would have a decent spot for a passenger. The stock tail would not. |

All I'm planning on getting a new suit of clothes for my Y2K M2 for B'Trax, track days, and solo apex strafing . . . I'd rather not cut the frame (as in adapting an S1 tail), so I could put the wide-line tank and tail section back on when desired I've got my hands on a slim-line tank, but would like to know alternatives for a solo tailsection/seat . . . . there was a company called Fast Company that made one for the M2, but I understand that they're out of business . . . . any ideas from the collective? thanks |

Bomber try taking a looking at AirTECH. They may have something you could use but you might have to do alittle fabricating but not to the extreme that I did.I'm kinda interested in finding a S1 twintail section so I could ride someone if I would like to. |

Anyone heard of a paintable rear hugger for a 97-98 M2. Something similar to the units that Eurocomponents makes for the X1s and S1s. I can`t seem to find anything. |

Lowlife...I've seen painted rear huggers on M2's & S3's. The stock fender needs to be sanded smooth, primered & then painted. Good luck |

Bomber, Check out Trojan's web site in England, I don't know the URL but it's on the X-1 files. They have two (I think) single set set-ups for M2s, but they look like they are a fair chunk of change. |

-Mzoomora; Will have a look and post the width here tonight... -All o' Y'all; Would any of You happen to know wether the paint on the swinger of my x1 is available in a "pencil"? Thought the swinger was blasted aluminium, yet it's painted, and the jiffy scuffed it for a while. |

Mzoomora; Stripes are 47.5 mm each, divided by 6.5 mm of colour all across the bike. Hope to have been of service, though a little late. J. |

Hi, I need to know the paint code or formula for the white paint on the Marchesini wheels used on the '96 S2. -OR- for the white frame on the same bike as they seem to match. I have searched to no avail. TIA. |

Peter, Hi. I had gotten the bodywork formula there but haven't found anything for the frame or wheels (which are a bright white with a hint of either gray or blue in them). I spent 2 hours at the local Color Wheel Saturday trying to match hundreds of paint chips to no avail. Their digital analyzer couldn't get a good enough look at the wheel to come up with anything either... |

Spoke with Classic Coatings, the powder they used on the frame is called Sky White. The wheels were painted, though. Now I've got to figure out how to convert sky white to a liquid paint... |

Nightcourt year and model non-specific . . .. got me a slimline tank (looking fer a slimline tailsection/seat), and was contemplating non-paint options for the tank . . .. the stocker had chromey letters when shipped, but they really didn't like sitting in the Srpingfield sun over labor day (the letters still read "Buell" when the race was over, but weren't lined up anywhere near to right) . . .. . non-bubbly blue would look great . . . . thanks for the tip |

Bomber I haven't been there recently to notice but Sporttwin.com used to have a chart on their website that showed almost all the paint + decal colors of the more recent Buells. |
