I've seen the complete LED tailight on ebay for 80.00 are they any good? The wife doesn't think the stock tailight is very bright.. Thus I need to make the bike tailights be safer. other options is the Kisan kit that uses the turn signals as well. |

They're brilliant! Oops, no pun intended. Some are brighter and better quality than others, and more expensive. You'll never need to replace a bulb again and you can more or less take it for granted the light and brake light always work. That's not to say you should stop testing / checking though. I've a custom hand made billet one and I love it. Rocket |

I put led 1157 unit on my old /6.the light itself is bright, but the leds don't radiate in a way that brings the reflector into play.kinda turned out to be a toss up.i'm considering running 1 bulb,1 led in my s3t. |

I thought these new fangled LED globes would be the bees_knees. They have like 16 lights pointing straight out, and more lights in a ring around the side. Was hoping it would be OK, as the whole light doesn't go at once like a conventional bulb. Mind though, the LED I got gives out a red light, so this may not shine as well through my red tail lens. Would be better on a clear lens? The pictures below are in order: Standard Bulb ON - LED On Standard Bulb Brake - LED Brake (Message edited by captainxb on February 28, 2006) |

I just put one of those LED taillights off of ebay on my M2 last night.. First off the resistors included in the "kit" didn't work so i'm going to have to purchase the three pronged flasher plug to slow down the turn signals. Second and most importantly, the taillight DID NOT include a license plate light... So now i'm going to have to decide if i want to custom wire a white bulb or LED to the bottom of the assembly in order to be completely legal or just take my chances.... So basically this thing looks good but can be a real pain in the butt. |

I have the led with built in turn signals on my X1. I love it, really bright! My resistors worked just fine, no fast flashing. I was a little concerned about the lic. plate light issue, but my lic. plate is DIRECTLY below my tail light so it gets enough illumination. Never been pulled over yet (SUPER loud, and I even rode a wheelie past a cop. Nothin') I highly recommend them. Beugs |
