I am taking my bike up for its 1k service on Friday, and am wondering wether I should stay with the 20-50 or drop down to the 10-40 for the rest of the winter. I plan to ride any time its above 34 degrees and dry, and we will have several weeks of that before spring. If I do go with the lower wt oil, other than changing it at the 1500 mile point is there anything to be aware of? Thanks Darrell |

I believe the manual specifies a 10-40 for winter riding? Shell makes an excellent Rotella 5W-40 in a fully syn version. |
