Someone please tell my wife Renee that the passenger area on the S3T is comfortable. She thinks that because she was uncomfortable on my M2 and X1 that all Buells must be uncomfortable. I've tried and tried but she won't listen too me, so all of you passengers out there please give your honest opinion, good or bad, that way she has a full perspective of each side of the spectrum. Then maybe I can get one for us and have a bike that I understand and can work on. Thanks in advance, Justin |

I'm not the passenger, but my Girlfriend Linda had no major complaints, especially after I bought the Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat with the backrest:

You've got too be kidding me! I'm trying too talk the wife into letting me get another Buell and only one person can give me feedback! I should've titled this thread "FREE BEER", maybe then I would've gotten some type of response? All I'm asking is for your opinion, not a kidney! OKEY DOKEY DIGGITY DANG DONG DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I WRITE 'CAUSE NO ONE IS GOING TO READ IT ANYWAY! |

JD....I don't have a passenger too often on my S3T. However, since I went to the Corbin with a backrest, the passengers I have had say they're comfortable. Hope that helps Mennis |

Response outa respect. LOL But seriously. Alot of ladies that have ridden pasanger on my corbin seat (on a M2) loved it. And that was even minus the back rest. So add the back rest and you have super cumfy. |

Shouldn't have put it on the quick board and you would have gotten more responses. That and a good majority don't take passangers. My wife likes the S3 but prefers the back rest that the Sportster had. I haven't let her try a Corbin yet |

Jdbuellx1 - It looks like you have a hard plastic cover over the passanger portion of the seat on your X1, no wonder she is unhappy. My girlfriend's mother bought her father, stick with me here, the above Corbin seat for his S3T. I think she likes it fine. Wouldn't it be great if she just rode her own? |

when I crashed out in W.Va. I had to ride on the back of an s3. Wasn't bad except that the stock seat will make you fall off the back because of its slope if you are not careful. A backrest or another seat should fix that. With all this said I would rather be riding.. BradG |

Roc, There is a story behind the solo rearsets and seat cowl, my wife would always want me to take her for a ride only to beg me to take her back home after about 5 miles, this became aggravating because she knew I liked to go on fairly long rides, so I just made it so she couldn't ride anymore, end of argument. It would be most wonderful if she could ride her own. We've decided to wait till spring so she can take the safe rider course, if she feels competent enough to ride on her own I told her I would buy her any bike she wanted within reason, if she doesn't feel she can ride then I'm buying a S3T. Then all I hear is how much she dislikes Buells and she'll be uncomfortable (she only dislikes Buells because I like them, go figure). It's just one continuous argument, but I will have the final word because it's my money buying the bike. Justin |

BradG, I looked at your profile and if you want a Buell go to Highland in Somerset, it's right off the pike, they always treat me good and It's only about 60 miles from you, stop in and talk to John Voght. Justin |

Not a S3T, but... My g/f complained about the riding position as a passenger on my XB...I just got ahold of some XB9S Rider pegs and swapped them for the passenger pegs on my 'bolt. She says it's a lot more comfortable on her knees. But she just took the Rider's Edge course, so the plan is for me to remove the passenger peg mounts permanently...and she can have my Blast. Bryan |

My wife and I just finished a tour through the smokies on our 02 S3T. 2300 miles and she is ready to go again. I have a pro series seat but it seems to be too soft after a long day.I may give a corbin a try. |
