I just wanted to let everyone on this board know how impressed I am so far with Appleton Harley and Daves. About 1 month ago my wife gave me the ok to buy a Buell. I decided to go with Appleton Harley and Daves. Me being in MS I had to call and do business over the phone. I wanted a 9xb, but I really wanted the 12scg. It seemed a little out of my $$ range. Well Dave gave me an offer that could not be refused on a brand new 05 xb12scg. We didnt even haggle overprice. SOLD! Its nice being given a price you dont need to negotiate or run back and forth about with a sales person about. Well the next step is to get it to me. Daves wanted to know when I was coming to pick it up. He even offered to take care of a place for me to stay at if and when I was to drive or fly up there. I couldnt beleive that. What company motorcycle or automobile does that for you when you purchase a car? Ans. None of them. I was impressed to say the least. Well I ended up having to have the bike shipped to me by a shipping company as to I could not make the trip up there. Daves and Appleton didnot like the idea of selling me the bike and never being able to set up the suspension with me never actually on the bike nor the idea of not doing business in person. So guess what happens next? Daves flew down here in person to do the deal right! I challenge you to buy a Lexus from Wisconsin and see if they will offer up front to take care of you like this. Not even needing to mention the fact my salesman flew down to meet me! I still cannot beleive how dedicated he and his dealership are to they're product and maintaining they're reputation. I was very impressed with his profesionalism and knowledge when he came down. Its nice to know you can do good old fashioned 110% American business these days. Awesome! Im still impressed. I am also glad to know they're people in this community that are as dedicated to they're work ethics and theyre impression on others as he and others on here are. As much as this board is a great service to our community. It could never do the justice needed to impart on everyone how glad I am to have bought the bike from them thus far! Ok recap my experience. 1. Offered me a deal that cannot be beat. 2. Offered to provide lodging for customer. 3. Flew the salesman across country to do the deal right. 4. Still impressed! Thanks again Daves! |

I try to spend my money there with Dave before I go anywhere else. I have not bought a bike from him yet, but hopefully when the time comes he is still there. It would be worth the trip from the Providence area to be treated well. That kind of customer service is what leads to loyalty, not only to the dealership, but to the brand as well. Taking care of customers also makes your job a bit more fun, you feel better then you would if you were just out to screw everyone. I wish more people realized this. |

I have been extremely impressed with what I've seen DAVES write on many of the threads, and what everyone says about him and the dealership. I do want to mention as I have in a couple threads, for the peeps down south that I bought my second Buell from Ocala HD and I was equally impressed with the dealership and staff. I had heard they had dynamite prices and when I called I got the a 2005 XB12Scg for $8495 and they delivered to my door in Savannah, GA free. Our sorry HD dealership here does not sell or service Buell, but a local shop, John's V Twin, rides and services Buell. I would suggest to anyone that if you can't get to Wisconsin that you try Ocala, btw they have a great website ocalahd.com. |

Daves, why would a dealer lose money on a bike? Just to make way for new stock, or in hopes of selling accessories...? |
