No, the tank accents are available from many sources. Try American Sport Bike or the vendor or your choice. |

It's easy, that aircleaner should fit OK, but the bolts will be wrong (1/4 -20, you need M6)and you'll need to punch a hole in the back plate for the IAT. That CF cover is interesting in that it isn't Twill weave, it is plain weave. I wasn't aware that Buell was using plain weave for them in 97. It'll work, but it won't match the weave used in American Sport Bike or other tank accents that I've seen. Our American Sport Bike improved CF oval air cleaners use a milled backplate instead of the cheesy stamped on that Buell used, with the spacer and the venturi ring integrated into the plate. This results in much improved flow. We also clocked it forward a little to better match the lines on the 99+ bikes. See here and here Installation is quite simple. In either case, you'll need to do something with your breathers, see here Al |

Thanks for some of the info. I was not to concerned about the CF as the actual set up. I am thinking of putting on a black piece like the one above. Also, do the tank accents do anything practical or are they just asthetic??? I figured with a black bike it wouldn't really be much dif. Especially for the $$ ANB |
