Has anyone tried or have experience with the aluminum shock lowering bracket that Al sells at American Sport Bike??? I'm thinking about giving it a try on my 97 Cyclone. I have Al's aluminum oil tank and I'm a little worried that lowering the rear a full inch might cause tire rub on said tank. I'm not running any rear hugger or belt guard, so it might just work.

I think that your concerns are well founded. A new tire will lightly rub my oil tank at full suspension compression and that is without any lowering.
