It's come down to a toss up between the Woodcrafts and the Crossroads. Anyone have any prior experience with these brands? According to Trojan the 54 mm Crossroads fit well because the clamps are thin. I'm hoping that they are on Woodcrafts as well. The Woodcrafts are 50 bucks cheaper, too. Here are the links: http://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=12690 http://www.nvo.com/crossroads/pages/store/skudetail.nhtml?profile=displayroom&ui d=10071&catuid=10067&returnURL=http%3A//www.nvo.com/crossroads/displayroom/categ ory.nhtml%3Fcatuid%3D10067 Thanks! |

The woodcraft items will only fit below the top yoke (triple tree) and not above it like the crossroads ones can. This makes them VERY low for road use, but that may be the effect you are looking for Here is a pic of the Hal's bike with (I think) Woodcraft bars below the triple tree, and a comparison with the Crossroads bars above the tree.

The Crossroads are your best bet. I had the Woodcrafts but to get them to work the best with the least interference you have to move the forks up the triples atleast 1/4" which leads to very squirly handling. The Woodcrafts are about an inch to an inch and a half tall, 3 bolt clamps. If they don't have the fork tops to atleast above the middle bolt, they slide back and forth. If you mount them under the top triple, they will interfere with the side plates and the ignition switch. |

In the future please post topics like this to the applicable topic in the Knowledge Vault. We'll be moving this one there soon. Thanks for helping to get BadWeB organized. 172689 |

Sorry Blake, I've tried the KV a number of times but received no response. AS a matter of fact I think a have a question about paint that has gone unanswered for a few weeks. My question about clip ons for my XB9SX seemed to me to be an appropriate topic on the XBoard. My apologies again, just trying to use the board to get some helpful opinions. Move the topic if you must... |

No appology necessary. Please just help get folks more focused on the KV. If we post there, they will come. Thanks. |

Hey Wyckedflesh I know Ive asked this in the past, but can't find your answer. What mods did you have to do to get the crossroads to work with the R fairing? |
