Can someone please help so I don't have to donate a kidney to the Harley shop to search for my problem. I have around 16K on my 2000 X1 and just started having problems with it bogging down when I try to accellerate. I have changed the plugs and there is no difference. HELP... Thanks MIke |

Does it bogg and then pick up? My S3 was having a problem when rolling on the throttle it would bogg and then pick up after I had giving it more throttle.. It was the throttle position sensor. |

My 00 X1 broke the throttle body at 8000 mi. it cost me $650. The spindle on the butterfly valve had twisted and bent. |

If your rear exhaust header is loose, the Oxygen sensor will give out erratic readings. Mine loosened up for the first time at about 15K. |

Check the simple stuff first. Exhaust, plug wires, throttle body, then sensors. Mine was also doing the same thing, bad throttle body. Pull the air cleaner a check to see if the shaft is intact. If you remove the sensor from the old throttlebody without unhooking the wiring you won't need a tps reset and it can be done in an hour. 650.00 for a throttlebody changeout seems high. |
