I'm new to the BWB board, so please be patient. I'm thinking of doing a custom paint on some older Cyclone parts and fitting them to a 2000 Cyclone frame. Specifically, tank, front and rear fenders. Any problems/issues? Will I need a new seat? Also, any recommendations for a front fairing for long distance riding? Thanks in advance.

The bodywork will fit. When you say "rear fender" I presume you mean the tail section and not the "rear hugger".

Search this topic for painting tips. There are some specific steps to painting the fuel tank so it doesn't bubble. You will need the '97 seat to go with the bodywork, as the tank and tail section are "skinny" compared to the '99 and up models.

Your head tube is equipped with bosses to bolt up an S3 fairing. Thats what I did. Others will probably chime in with more options.

Welcome to the board.

Tim,

Thanks for the info. Yes, tail section is what I meant when I said rear fender. Good to know that an S3 fairing will work.
