Author Message   Nunyadambusiness Posted on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 - 09:55 am:        99 M2 motor S&S Super E carb stock ignition A few weeks ago it started to run rough, backfiring and such. The intake manifold was HD and the previous owner used some pipe to connect to the S&S carb. Pretty sure I had a leak so I installed a new S&S intake manifold, manifold seals and such yesterday. I even replaced the VOES since the wiring was getting loose in the switch. Oh, yeah, I also replaced the fuel line and fuel filter. Start the bike up. It took about 4 tries. Bike idles fine. When idling, it backfires when snapping the throttle. Rode it and the first time I pull the throttle it bogs down, misses, pops, jumps and the like. It's not rideable and today is Ride Your Bike to Work day. Does this sound like a carb/intake problem or an ignition problem? Any help would be appreciated.
