Hi folks newbie from U.K with 2000 M2 my question is how do i make the rear shock stiffer i have wound the turnscrew up to max on the adjuster but do i need to move the shock cannister toward the back wheel or to the front to give me a bit more reistence (p.s i'm nearly 19 stone in weight and carry passengers) any help would be great thanks matt |

Hi Cyclonematt. Welcome on Badweb. After the invasion of owners of the new models, we whisper only softly that the M2 is the best motorcycle ever build: We, tubeframers, keep that for ourselves. Congratulations. You can`t do well without Service Manual. Expensive, but worth every penny. Answers: Move cannister to rear of motorcycle to increase preload. Move cannister to front of motorcycle to decrease preload. Do you have the new Showa shock after the recall? In the knowledge vault of Badweb you will find instructions in next service bulletins: . http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/bulletins/ShockLocknut.pdf http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/bulletins/ShockRecall99-00.pdf Enjoy your trips.
