Chris...we're a little far away for a New Years day ride in your neck of the woods. There's a few of us that are keep a close eye on the weather and roads up here in the Frozen Tundra. Looks like the freezing rain missed us but who knows what tomorrow will bring. |

You can pencil me in for at least 2 days at Blackhawk, 1 at Autobohn..I really want to check that new place out..if its cool I may even do both autobohn dates. Plus I will get in at least 1 day at Road america. Goal is 5 track days & am working towards setting myself up to get a competition license. |

Cool, you want to run intermediate or expert class? |

Well to tell you the truth I was thinking of running the Beginner class. I have never done a track day before and I am not totally sure what I am getting into. The closest I have come was a Battletrax at Uke's durning the 20th Homecoming. I am still trying to get enough gear together... |

I'm going to run the beginner class for my first day again this year. I'll probably move to intermediate for the remaining days. My confidence isn't quite up to the level I'd like to run intermediate. I was feel much more confident towards the end of my last track day (being is was also my first). I just need to work a little harder on my corner speeds before moving up. |

Toni will most likely be on the track as well. Just gotta get her some of the Joe Rocket pants to match her jacket, and some decent gloves. We went to Don & Roys over the weekend. The Icon gloves definately fit both of us better than any of the other armored gloves. |

Steve, try http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/default.asp Great prices, I have ordered quite a few things from them. Also give Tonker.com a shot. They list Joe Rocket prices but those arent the real ones, take another 15% off & thats what you pay. Ultra fast & cheap shipping as well. Try a pair of Gericke competition gloves. I just got a pair for $39 from the first place. Very nice gloves, they feel great too. |

The problem with Joe Rocket gloves, for both myself, and the wife is the palm portion on a large fits GREAT. But the fingers then tend to be a tad short. So it ends up puting my fingers to sleep after riding for a while. If I go to an XL, the palms bunch up. The Icons seem to feel wonderful. How's the fit on the gericke? I bought a large & they fit great, nice & snug. The Joe rockets I have are also larger & the fingers on them are a tad shorter than the Gerickes. I also have a Pair of Helds, some of the Buell race gloves with the carbon fiber knuckles, & about 6-7 other pairs of assorted brands. Right now I would have to rank the Gerickes as my favorite just based on fit & comfort level. |

I have no gloves yet. I don't realy know what you need though. I have a set of ballistic Joe Rocket pants and I think they will be ok. I gat leather work boots that go above the ankle and both a Joe rocket Ballistic Jacket and a Leather Buell Jacket. And I got the Helmet so I am pretty close. I know it is a ways off, but we should all drive down together. I know I am trailering my bike. I gotta find some new fenders for my trailer. I want to rebuild that this winter too... |

I talked to someone at the factory today and he informed me that there will be Buells racing at Road America on April 23rd and 24th! The 23rd looks like a CCS day The 24th will be Formula USA. I don't know if I will be able to make it(depends on Kandie's schedule) but wanted to let everyone know about it. Go cheer the Buells on! |

We are looking at 6-8 inches of snow tonight... Dave do you sell a good snow tire? ha ha I went to the Torque Center tonight and tried on some gloves. I deffinately need 2XLs. BTW I reported last year that the Torque Center was going out of business. Apparently the deal either fell through or the new owner is keeping things the same, but either way they will still be open for business! |

I spoke with the Course Cafe owner a few months ago and he said they got the Torque Center guy working for them, guess that was then. Maybe there was a merger or something? Who knows. Nice to know the TorqueCenter is still around though. |
