The "Speedway Grand Prix" is a good one. Great track layout and karts that do about 40 or so on the longest straight. I spent about $200 a paycheck there for about six months before I got the Buell . I can't seem to find their website, but it's off of 60 (or 10?) and 16th st. There are a few though that seem to have good karts so I'm not exactly locked into that one. |

Bart, That unemployed thing is a bitch, but we had a hell of a good time. Thanks a ton, Brother. I'm going to try like crazy to make this ride, I have the same vacation problems. How's the new job going? Prior, a.k.a Baby Bart |

Baby Bart, (giggle) The job is OK, it could pay a bit more, but the technology is right up my ally, and very challenging, so I'm gonna stick it out, just for the educational benefits. Unemployment has it's benefits too. The summer was great, I have no regrets, just fond memories of some great miles and some great friends. I am thankful for the memories. I got sick at the end of the summer, and couldn't ride for quite awhile, so those memories, and thoughts of future rides kept me going. Keep us posted as to what dates work good for you, like I said, we're going to try to work this so all can attend.

As part of a discussion, we decided it would be a good idea to not schedule this during AZ bike week which is April 1st through the 10th. So we atleast know that time frame is blocked. |

I'm thinking that April 22,23,24 will be a good weekend. How does that fit in with the Spring break? I think that's the last weekend in April. The roads may still be icy though. |

BBB, the dates are great for us, but how serious a threat is the potential for icy roads? FB&D |

Well, my grand father's B-Day is on the third. I assume we'll be headed up there for the weekend of the 30th, the 1st and the 2nd. The weekend before or after that would be fine for me, or really any other weekend. It would be somewhat nice if it was either the one before or after just because then I could combine the whole thing and make it a long vacation and I would check the Laguna Seca schedule for when I would be going by there (unless I just head through Nevada...). |

I just joined and noticed the ride being scheduled. I ride a XB12S and my wife rides a S3T. We would be interested in joining you on the ride. We live around the Tombstone area. Super bike week at Laguna Seca is after the Fourth of July. I was there in 2002 and would love to go back! I've been trying to talk my wife into going there instead of Sturgis (she's never been to either)but it'll just depend on money. |

Buellmike69, I live in Yuma and I too find myself asking the same question as in your profile, "Where's the corners?" We're actually fortunate as we can ride in most any direction and find good corners. I too am eyeballing Laguna Seca but am buying a house so it will depend on $$$ for me too. Hell, the Springfast trip will depend on $$$ for Eliz and I. Welcome and come on over to Az Buellers in Stormfronts to chat with us locals. I know Brian and Al ride out your way sometimes... Bart as well... |

OK, let's try these dates and see if everyone can make them... MAY,14,15,16, 2005... Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.... Charlie, when you check the weather, don't bother checking Show Low, look at Springerville, Hannigans Meadows, and Morienci.... That's where the most treacherous roads would be... May 14,15,16 would be a bad week from a racing perspective. That is the weekend for the Sears Point/Infineon Raceway AMA race. If it were that weekend, I'd have to miss it. The only other conflict with west coast AMA racing is April29/May1, which is the Fontana/California Speedway AMA race. Al |

Are you going to be AT the Laguna race Al? If not, we can probably arrange to watch it somewhere... I know I'd prefer it. How's about 22,23,24... At that point we're getting to where the roads will be a complete non-issue. I just re-read through the posts and no-one so far has mentioned that they can't go that weekend, but most likely only because it hasn't been mentioned . Would that be too much riding in two weeks for you Al ? |

Back to back weekends is fine. I have to go to the Sears Point races, it's work, ya know, marketing activities and all that stuff But riding over at springfast would be play, not work. Gotta get clearance from Joanne, who would hold the fort down here while I'm out playing, but should be doable for me. The weekend after the 22,23,24 is the Fontana Races, I HAVE to go there. Then the weekend after that is Buell Homecoming, I HAVE to go there. It will be a busy month.... |

Careyj has posted this about springfast over on Sacborg within the past day: "Don't forget about AZ Springfast 05!!! The dates have been changed to April 29th, 30th and May 1st, due to Mothers Day weekend and the Superbike races." We need to get one message for both boards, not conflicting messages. I'd actually prefer the date Carey posted, but I'm not sure what conflicts exist for that date. I can do either, but due to the amount of stuff going on in may/june, the april date is better for me.
