Hey Steve...Welcome to Buelling...I saw your M2 at Widman and, of course, immediately recognized it...That was my intro into things Buellish and I have to say the best Buell of the two that I have had... We have kind of rolled the Buell club we had here into a club called the hSTA (honda Sport Touring Assn) but forget the first word in that...As the time I joined I had a Buell and a beemer...What attracted us to the HSTA was that they ride pretty much the way the core group of Bueller's did...That is fairly long days of 300+ s'miles...And they had four rallies in either southern MO or northern AR that were fun...When you attend you will notice just about every brand of bike on the planet...I think that eventually we will even drop "honda" from the club's name nationally... We have a ride this coming weekend on Sunday...It will LEAVE from the Eureka QT at 10 a.m. and the lunch stop will be in Piedmont MO at a great buffet restaurant...Of course, you don't have to ride the entire way if you have other committments...Many do not...The Eureka QT is located at I-44 and 109/W on the south side of I-44...Get there a bit early in order to gas up a kick tires a bit... Here's a link to the local hSTA Yahoo Group site that we all congregate on... http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/MO-SIL-HSTA/ You first have to become a Yahoo Group member and then join the group... I hope to see you and Ted (see his post above) on Sunday... Bob |

Hey guys, sorry have reserve duty this weekend. But I have a question. Bought an out-of-state bike, so I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a dealer in the area to do my 1000 mile maintenance. Or is it a do-it-your-selfer? I think I'm most worried about the primary chain adjustment, and checking for leaks and torquing to proper specs. |

Ted...Go ahead and order the manual from Dave...He's one of the good guys...You're going to need it anyway...Then we can see what the 1,000 mile calls for...Let us know when you have it... Bob |

Hey Ted, Check to see if the XB's use the same oil filter as the tube framed bikes. If so, I have some filters left over after selling my bike that I will give you a deal on. |

Bob, thanks for the kind welcome. I can't get to the yahoo group due to my computer, but I did check out the national Hsta site and saw the MO-SIL local site. Looks like fun. Sunday's ride sounds great for me and it looks like the weather will be accommodating. Piedmont's new for me but I bet that's great riding country. Will you be posting the directions? I don't want to hold anyone up. See you Sunday. Steve |

Wow! What a great welcome. OK Dave I will take a service manual. Do you still have my info, or should I call? Please e-mail me at bollert@msn.com. As for the rest of you guys, please use that e-mail address too. It is a bit of a hassle to navigate the badweb during working hours. It doesn't notify me when the thread has been updated either. |

Remind me, I'll drop a CD of it in your truck sometime. Got a DVD player? I can probably make a quick DVD out if it. |

Josh, Yes. By the way, are any of you recording "Long Way Round" off of the Bravo channel? I think its on for 1 hr each week for about 6 weeks or so. If so, I would really like to borrow the recordings of that. Thanks, John |

Mariabelen set the TIVO, but I'm not currently setup to burn off of it. When will the truck be in the usual spot? CD or DVD? |

Bob, Just wanted to say how much fun it was to join you guys for the ride to Bixby. I appreciated the way you all made me feel welcome. You guys know how to put together a smooth and organized run. You travel fast, but safe and sane, too. I hope I can make some more rides in the future. Thanks again. Steve |

Man, I was able to get off duty yesterday. I was pumped about riding with you, but I was in the middle of changing the oil in my ZX-10R when 9:30am rolled around, which was my target time for meeting you in Eureka. I was thinking I wish I had someone's phone number. My bad. Hopefully I'll get another chance before the weather craps out. |
