Just to finish up an old thread: I inspected and then replaced the rotor and rotor cap in my daughters '97 Jeep Wrangler today, then installed a new set of spark plug wires too. I can't tell if it runs any better than before but I feel good for having done it. The new spark plugs that I put in a couple of weeks ago made a big difference though. Now the car starts in the morning. What a concept! Next payday the car gets a new air filter and a set of windshield wipers. I also changed the oil using Moble 1 synthetic oil. It works OK in a new motorcycle but who knows how it will work in a car with 121,000 miles on it. We'll see. Ya'll be good to each other. BTW: I've seen a lot of WSP guys out on the highways lately, so be careful as well as good. Ray |

Hey guys posted this in the knowledge vault but what are your opinions? Looking into converting te controls from my '97 S1 from bars to a clip-on style set up, any suggestions? I am simultaniously looking to replace the forks but not sure how deep my pockets are gonna go in the end. I have heard tail of a fork recall for the 97 s1's is there an easy way to tell looking if it was done? |

Hello all, Well yesterday I had my 30th B day,....great huh...well Tracie passed her test and is now endorsed... In other news, those bikes, look just like any jap bike, if you take the fairings off!!! That looks like a suzuki Bandit, or a Honda 919 or........ I dont have any web space, so I cant just post the pics here, but check these out...look familiar? http://www.streetfighters.nl/bandit/bandit.html http://www.streetfighters.nl/honda/hondafighters.htm If you really took the time to check out these pages you would see what I mean, you dont get so much of it around Portland, but in California,(where I moved here from) bikes like these are very common. Let me know when you guys are going out riding with the Triumph group this summer though. I would very much like to go out and see what their events are all about. Do they have a good support site? Forums and such? |

Way back in the day, when rock and roll was new and life was good, I got my first drivers license on a motor scooter and then drove a car without an endorsement.

My goodness the NW corner of the BadWeB has been slow lately. I'm pretty sure this is a true story: A Triumph rider walks into The Swiss tavern in Tacoma, he looks around at all of the good looking babes and takes a seat next to the most actractive woman in the place. He gives her a quick glance then casually looks at his watch for a moment. The woman notices this and asks, "Is your date running late?" "No," he replies, "I just got this state-of-the-art watch, and I was just testing it." The intrigued woman says, "A state-of-the-art watch? What's so special about it?" The handsome Triumph rider explains, "It uses alpha waves to talk to me telepathically." The lady says, "What's it telling you now?" "Well, it says you're not wearing any knickers...." "The woman giggles and replies, "Well it must be broken because I am wearing knickers!" The Triumph guy smirks, taps his watch and says, "Bloody thing's an hour fast." |

Hope you all have a Happy Turkey Day! Jim I would love to do the ride. I am just getting over this cold from hell and need to stay healthy enough to make it to the IMS show in Dec. Did not even make it to the BRAG ride this month. I have been so wanting to ride. Loni |

Loni - Know all about the cold from hell, I am still trying to shake it myself. If you can't make it on the scoot, there is always the cage. The meeting location is new for this year. Its in the K-Mart parking lot on 122nd and Sandy. |

OK weirdo's! I just finished cleaning my tub, and it's so boring now... Once again I will be saying that I'll be seeing my friends in Seattle in a few weeks. Gona have me some fun...anyone want to go up to see Bruce and Branden Lee. I useually do when I have the time up in the big city. Or Jimi. I may get my new rubber on Betty this very weekend, if I'm lucky. Haven't had much time for anything since we got back from BordeRaid. Feast or famine, work-wise. sooner, Galen |

Busy? Were to busy to be busy!! Deb and I are just working, suffering from winter depression and lusting for warmer weather. We haven't had much computer time either and when I do I just don't have much to say. Can't wait for the IMS and see the new changes to the Dark Side in person. Yes, I know, it looks as if the Dark side copied Buells tail section but I think there just getting back at Buell for stealing there headlights. So..., you know how the the Triumph riding group is called RAT? Bob |

Well crap, can't make the IMS this year! And I really wanted to see a bald Loni. Things are going fine here in ID, just wanted to say hello to all. We had something that looked like Bob visit us a few weeks ago, got a quick pic of him I was riding the M2 up to last week, but now old man winter showed up. Here is a sunrise pic of the backyard from this morning. The weather dude is calling for 6-12 inches more snow later tonight. Guess I'm done riding until Spring. Take care everyone and enjoy the IMS for me. |
